TaleSelf - Language Practice. Last updated 17 October 2026.
TaleSelf is a language-practice app. You read AI-generated stories, make choices, save words and earn streaks. This page explains what we collect and why.
The text of your story, your choices and the words you look up are sent to AI providers to generate stories, translations and voice. We use hosting and database providers to store data. They process data on our behalf and only to provide the service. We do not sell your personal data.
Rewarded ads are shown by Google AdMob (Google Mobile Ads). Google uses data from apps that use its services as described at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
Ads are optional. You tap a button that says what the reward is, then a video plays. Nothing plays on its own.
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, the app asks for consent before it loads an ad. Ads are personalised only after you agree. You can change that choice later in the app: Settings, then Privacy choices.
Paid items are bought through Google Play. Google handles payment details. We never see your card number.
TaleSelf is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. Rewarded ads are not child-directed, because the app is not made for children. If you believe a child has given us data, contact us and we will delete it.
We keep your data while your account exists. You can delete your account in the app (Settings, then Delete account) or by following the steps on the account deletion page. When deletion finishes, your account data is removed.
Data is sent over HTTPS. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your data. Contact us and we will help.
If we change this policy we will update the date above.
