Turn your own idea into a TaleSelf story with you as the hero, or add your own choice to a scene for every reader to find.
Write your own story ✍️
Open the story list and tap Write your own story. Say who you are, where you are, what you want and what stands in your way, in at least 120 characters and in any language.
Check your idea and you see how your story starts: its genre (one of 10, from Fantasy and Mystery to Comedy and Romance), a title and a three-line summary in your language, before anything is made.
Not quite there yet? It tells you what is missing, like a hero or a problem to start from, and keeps your text so you can fix it and check again.
Yours first
Your story sits at the top of the list under Your stories, tagged Only you. It plays like any other story: at your level from A1 to C2, read aloud, with every word a tap away.
Our team reads every new story. When one is ready to share, they can make it public, so every reader can play it too.
Write your own choice 🧭
On the choice sheet, tap Write your own and type what you want to do, in at least 4 words and in any language.
Check it and you see how your choice reads at your level, and whether it fits the story so far. If the scene already has that choice, you are pointed to it instead.
Take it and the story follows you. Your choice stays in the scene for every reader after you, marked A reader’s idea. Your name is never shown.
